Sarkozy must cut Gordian knot that is EADS

Nicolas Sarkozy is taking a well-earned rest this week to gather strength before his inauguration as French president on May 16.

On the industrial and business fronts, the most pressing issue to resolve is the French government’s attitude towards EADS, the Franco-German aerospace and defence group, and Airbus, its civil aircraft affiliate.
