Smartphone makers face a “still-growing” market but they must make phones easier to use if they are to survive, according to the head of HTC, the Taiwanese company that makes Google’s first phone.
Last year was when “we began to see pieces coming together for the smartphone experience, [such that] adoption of smartphones grew even when the global economy slowed,” Peter Chou, HTC chief executive, told the Financial Times.
