MI5: Top sleuths and the case of the hiring spree

MI5 needs more women recruits. The agency, formally known as the Security Service, is entrusted with the UK’s domestic security.

Its record of female recruitment has been unusually strong: 50 per cent of its employees were female a decade ago and two of the last three of its director generals have been women.
