Working week shrinking, says ONS

People on average are working an hour less a week than they did 15 years ago according to official figures published yesterday.

Just over 20 per cent of the employed population work more than 45 hours a week but this is still fewer than the 26 per cent of people who worked these hours in the mid-1990s.
