Third herd culled in UK outbreak

A third herd of cattle has been culled in the south of England on suspicion of having contracted foot-and-mouth disease.

The herd was on a farm close to the second confirmed outbreak of the disease, which was discovered on Monday. The first case was found last Thursday on a neighbouring farm near Guildford, south-west of London.
