Plot to attack Indonesian leader foiled

Indonesian security forces at the weekend foiled a plot to attack President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, uncovering large quantities of explosives at a property just minutes from his private residence.

The explosives were found by Indonesia’s anti-terror squad, Detachment 88, in a raid early on Saturday morning at a house in the Bekasi district on the edge of Jakarta in which two suspected terrorists were shot dead.
