Reuters teams up with Politico

One of the oldest names in journalism is tying up with one of the newest to offer coverage of US politics to cash-strapped newspapers that are wondering whether they can still afford a Washington bureau.

Reuters has joined forces with Politico, the two-year-old online, print and broadcast venture that broke the news of Sarah Palin’s clothing budget, to supply US political news to newspapers and broadcasters in return for a share of their online advertising revenue.
