A radical who wants to nationalise "strategic industries" and industrialise production of coca, the raw material for cocaine, has retaken the lead in Peru's presidential race, according to a poll released yesterday.
The survey by Apoyo, the country's most respected pollster, showed Ollanta Humala rising two points in the last week, to 32 per cent, while Lourdes Flores, the conservative pro-free-market candidate, dropped three points to 28 per cent.
