Pilkington extends energy surcharge

Pilkington is to pass on higher energy prices to its European building product customers through a surcharge.

Stuart Chambers, chief executive, said rising gas and electricity costs had resulted in a fee, based on the oil price, that was currently about €750 ($955) per truckload of glass.
