The Bush administration is to ask Russia about a report that it shared information about US military strategy with Saddam Hussein in the lead-up to the invasion of Iraq, Condoleeza Rice, secretary of state, said yesterday.

A US military study released by the Pentagon alleges that the Russian ambassador in Iraq provided information collected from inside the American Central Command in Doha to Saddam Hussein.
