Setanta, the embattled sports broadcaster, may have found a saviour at the 11th hour, people close to the company said on Thursday night.

However, they declined to name the company that has expressed interest in buying some or all of Setanta, nor would they say anything about its background, even whether it was a UK, US or other national organisation.
