Profit motive: The bottom line should benefit as well

While employers are busy introducing everything from flexible working hours to training and career development initiatives, what the corporate sector would really like to assess is the return on investment of such measures. However, identifying this is something of a challenge.

To start, attaching monetary value to an intangible such as a good working atmosphere is not easy. Even harder is identifying which chunk of annual profit resulted from creating a happy workforce.
