Kier Group, the UK construction company, indicated that it might launch what is likely to be the first of many challenges against the fines issued by the Office of Fair Trading over wide spread price-fixing in the construction industry.
Issuing a robust trading update for the first three-months of the year, Kier, which was fined £18m – the largest fine of any of the companies investigated – said it was considering launching an appeal that would need to be lodged by November 22.
