Moscow calls on London to extradite exiled oligarch

Moscow has made a new request to the UK to extradite Boris Berezovsky, accusing the exiled Russian oligarch of plotting an armed coup against President Vladimir Putin.

Russia's general prosecutor said yesterday it had opened a criminal case against Mr Berezovsky, charging him with "carrying out acts aimed at the violent seizure of power". The case had been handed over to the Federal Security Service (FSB), successor to the KGB.
