California’s attorney-general on Tuesday accused a Beverly Hills investment manager of channelling funds to Bernard Madoff for more than four decades and hiding his ties to the mastermind behind a $65bn Ponzi scheme.

The move by Jerry Brown is the latest regulatory action to focus on feeder funds that sent billions of dollars to Mr Madoff.
