Footsie at highest since February

Shire was in the spotlight on Wednesday amid suggestions that it could dispose of its blockbuster drugs.

The pharmaceuticals group, which reports earnings today, should look at selling its Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) franchise, said Bernstein Research. The range would be more valuable to a larger company that would be better able to manage risks such as substitution and patent challenges, it said.
