Juice jumps on Florida production fears

Orange juice prices jumped more than 10 per cent on Friday after the US government said production in Florida would fall sharply this season after the citrus crop was hit by bad weather and diseases.

Orange juice is a $10bn industry in the US with prices affecting farmers in Florida, global trading houses and companies such as Coca-Cola and PepsiCo.
