Basel jewellery: A question of style rather than wealth

Baselworld is not only the most important watch show, but it is also the most prestigious annual jewellery event. Housed in its own building, Hall 2, this year more than 200 exhibitors will present their sparkling wares.

British jeweller Stephen Webster and the two big Italian houses, Damiani and Roberto Coin, report that the lower priced segments (below €3,000, $4,135) as well as one-off pieces at the high end (€100,000) are showing the healthiest sales.
