Spotting new bull markets in “real time” is a lonely occupation. There are no official announcements. Bugles never blow. Investor sentiment is usually negative.

However, I believe the bull market of 2008 is now underway – although in the current circumstances, I have little doubt that some investors will snicker at this proclamation.
