Osborne plans company tax cuts

George Osborne, UK shadow chancellor of the exchequer, is drawing up plans for cuts in company tax rates which he hopes will chime as loudly with business as his plan to cut death duties did with middle England.

Mr Osborne cites Ireland as an example of a country that has unlocked business potential by cutting headline business taxes, making clear he wants to take Britain in the same direction.
