Small gains for cautious Asia-Pacific markets

Asia-Pacific shares made small gains on Thursday as investors remained cautious amid downward earnings revisions and the decline in oil hurting producers. Much focus was on the Bank of Japan and whether they would follow in the Federal Reserve’s footsteps and cut rates.

The FTSE Asia Pacific index was trading 1 per cent higher at 170.11.
