Service plus enforcement equals compliance. This is the mantra of Mark Everson, head of the US Internal Revenue Service and, as such, the world's most powerful tax man.

His saying essentially means that if the US tax authority makes it as easy as possible for people and companies to pay their taxes, and takes action against those who do not, the IRS should collect all the revenue owed to it.
