Mexico sees recovery in migrants’ remittances

Mexico’s monthly remittance figures to be published on Monday will show a recovery in the amount of cash Mexican migrants send back to their families, according to a senior official at the country’s central bank.

“We don’t expect there to be a fall in July,” Jesús Cervantes of the Bank of Mexico told the FT in an interview this week. “It is going to be a positive year [compared with 2006].”
