PartyGaming has begun talks with US justice authorities in an attempt to lift the threat of any possible action against the online gambling company for its dealings in the US.

The company, which ceased taking bets in the US in light of the bill passed last September tightening anti-gaming laws, said it had initiated discussions with the US Attorney’s Office for the southern district of New York “and is in the process of voluntarily responding to a request for information”.
