Future in A$2.4bn Telstra share sale

Australia’s sovereign wealth fund is to offload a A$2.4bn (US$2bn) stake in Telstra, the country’s leading telecoms group, to diversify its portfolio, according to people familiar with the matter.

The Future Fund on Thursday began selling up to 647m Telstra shares at A$3.47 – a 5 per cent discount to its closing price of A$3.65.
