Dollar suffers selling as Fed holds rates

The dollar suffered a bout of selling late in New York on Wednesday after the US Federal Reserve kept interest rates on hold after its policy meeting.

The central bank’s decision to leave its main Fed fund’s lending rate unchanged at 2 per cent came as little surprise to investors.
