Ahead of this year's close of business at midnight tonight, the North Pole company is issuing the following update on trading in 2007.

Continuing growth in the number of children means that turnover for the full year is expected to reach another record. Gift deliveries by the St Nicholas subsidiary on December 6 were ahead of expectations. The core Christmas Eve delivery is on track, while preparations for next month's Eastern Orthodox Christmas are well advanced.
