Opec members divided over how to respond in face of refinery crisis

The Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, the oil cartel, this weekend faces disagreement within its ranks over how to respond to calls for it to act to bring down crude prices.

Saudi Arabia, the world's biggest oil supplier, favours measures to push down high oil prices that are beginning to slow world economic growth. But others, including Kuwait and Venezuela, are struggling to sell their oil despite cutting prices because of a glut in the market.
