France’s stock market regulator on Tuesday found itself yet again at the centre of controversy after findings from its two-year investigation into share dealings at EADS were posted on the internet.

Mediapart, a news website launched this year, scored an apparent coup by publishing the summary of a report by the Autorité des Marchés Financiers that neither EADS executives, nor its core shareholders, had seen.
