People are seen walking around large plastic-foam dominoes, prior to commemorations of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, in Berlin, Germany, Monday, Nov. 9, 2009. The dominoes, which follow the contours of the former border between East and West Germany, will be tipped over Monday as a symbol of the fall of the wall.

Once off-limits, mined and patrolled by armed guards, the former “death strip” along the now vanished Berlin Wall was thronged with people on Monday as the German capital prepared to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the “peaceful revolution”.
