Newspapers expect to lose ads to internet

Newspaper advertising revenues are expected to fall faster than expected in 2007 as classified advertisers switch to cheaper internet alternatives.

Among a range of forecasts for 2007, newspaper advertising in the US is the category expected to decline the sharpest, adding further gloom to a sector which is feeling the strongest direct impact of the growth of online advertising.
