True blues may go a shade green and end hostility to climate change levy

David Cameron is reconsidering the Conservatives' opposition to the climate change levy as part of a drive to rebrand the Tories as a party that cares about the environment.

The Tory leader will step up his campaign to reposition the Conservatives on green issues in the new year, as part of a broader attempt to reach out beyond the party's core voters.
