GMG rethinks regionals

Regional newspaper businesses will have to be “financially recalibrated” because in future they will have substantially smaller margins, the chief executive of Guardian Media Group said.

Carolyn McCall on Tuesday told the Financial Times that she had different expectations now of the Manchester Evening News and other local papers GMG owned, but was not about to ditch them.
