Clinton shuns ‘dream ticket’ scenario

Hillary Clinton’s campaign on Monday said that Barack Obama’s alleged failure to “pass the commander-in-chief test” could rule him out as Mrs Clinton’s possible vice-presidential running mate for the general election.

Pouring cold water on the increasingly touted “dream ticket” scenario, senior Clinton campaign officials reiterated charges that Mr Obama’s national security credentials derived solely from a speech he gave in 2002 opposing the Iraq war.
