Last-minute litigation by disgruntled bondholders has delayed Argentina's plans to complete its record $100bn (€77.5bn) debt restructuring this week, government authorities have admitted.
Argentina was supposed to issue $35bn in new securities on Friday to creditors who tendered 76 per cent of the country's defaulted bonds in February's restructuring offer. It was also supposed to pay about $690m in interest payments on the bonds.
