FT Interview: Josef Ackermann

As the world’s top leaders gather in London to confront the worst post-war recession, Josef Ackermann, chief executive of Deutsche Bank, urges those attending the G20 summit to avoid a lurch into financial protectionism and to give strong support to a globalised banking system to promote world growth. James Wilson, Frankfurt Correspondent, talked to him in London.

FT: Mr Ackermann, this week there is an important meeting of the G20. Can you tell us about your views of the efforts being made by politicians to solve the financial crisis?
