Esade, the Spanish business school based in Barcelona, has appointed Alfons Sauquet Rovira as its next dean, to succeed Xavier Mendoza. who has completed two terms in the job.

Prof Sauquet will step up from his role as vice-dean of research and knowledge at the school. He was previously director of the business studies and management degree programme at Esade. A human resources academic, Prof Sauquet is a specialist in social networking and team learning.
