A cross-party group of MPs will on Friday call for “more urgency and consistency” from government in its support for the car industry.

The remarks by Parliament’s Business And Enterprise Committee will echo growing frustration among carmakers and suppliers with government’s slow progress in implementing its £2.3bn ($3.8bn) package to support the industry announced in January.
