Woman faces £16,000 penalty for sharing game

A computer pinball game maker has won a £16,000 ($29,813) court jackpot in a damages case that highlights the increasingly assertive US-style approach of media companies to protecting their wares.

Topware Interactive, the owner of Dream Pinball 3D, won the money from Isabela Barwinska, a woman who illegally shared the game with other users on a computer network.
