Scottish biotech group’s revenue expands

The strong growth of its drugs portfolio in Europe and the launch of an anti-cancer sickness patch in the US boosted revenue at ProStrakan, the Scotland-based biotechnology group.

Sancuso, a skin patch that treats chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, was launched in the US at the end of 2008 and made £3.7m ($6.1m) in sales in the first six months of 2009.
