Quarterly Industry Review: Recovery signs in spite of outflows

European investors once again pulled money from the continent’s mutual fund industry in the second quarter of 2008 but there are tentative signs the worst may be over.

Stripping out low-margin money market funds, net outflows came to €36.4bn (£29bn, $54.2bn) in the three months to June according to data from Lipper Feri, the fourth straight negative quarter.
