Hundreds of branches of Abbey and Bradford & Bingley will on Monday be rebranded under the Santander name as the Spanish bank embarks on a mass transformation of its UK businesses.

Santander has spent £30m ($48m) refurbishing 1,000 branches around the UK, printing redesigned product literature and launching a new marketing campaign as it moves to bring its UK brands under one name.
