Outflows slow down to a trickle

Europe’s beleaguered fund industry enjoyed its best three months since the second quarter of 2007 at the start of this year as net outflows slowed to a relative trickle.

But the pain remains acute for the embattled fund of hedge fund industry, which continues to see sharp outflows, while the exchange traded fund sector, the one success story of recent quarters, has witnessed a deterioration in its fortunes.
