The administrators of Ticket Tout, an online agency whose collapse has left an estimated 6,500 customers in the lurch, have alerted the Department of Trade and Industry to a link between tickettout.com and a company that the DTI had previously shut down.

The agency, they added, appeared to have total debts of just short of £2m, of which money paid for tickets that cannot be supplied amounted to £1.4m.
