UK House prices showed a modest rise in November, according to a closely watched index, suggesting a pattern of more moderate growth than earlier in the year after the housing market apparently bottomed out.
According to the Nationwide house price index, prices rose 0.5 per cent in November, the same pace of growth as October but well short of monthly rises of 1 per cent or more early in the summer.
