Fall in clubbers spending hits Luminar

Shares in Luminar fell more than 17 per cent on Thursday after the nightclub operator warned on profit and scrapped its final dividend as clubbers cut back on spending at its venues.

The group, which operates the Liquid and Oceana chains, said while admissions were up during important trading nights of the Christmas period, this was offset by a fall in spend per head.
