Palin’s spirited style wins over doubters

Republicans breathed a collective sigh of relief yesterday after Sarah Palin ex-ceeded expectations in her vice-presidential debate with Joe Biden.

The Alaska governor delivered a spirited and combative performance on Thursday night that at least partially repaired the damage from a rambling television interview last week with Katie Couric of CBS that deepened doubts about her qualifications.
