Let’s take the right path on credit default swaps

My comments on the credit default swap market last week were, according to some, much too tolerant of the market’s shortcomings, and according to others, unfairly critical.

Dirk Pruis of the ICE Trust US, which clears credit default swaps, said my column was “inaccurate” in saying that the risk management regime is modest and forgiving.
