Sir, It is more than tiresome that Thomas Granchi perpetuates the false notion that the English Reformation can be reduced to the personal politics of Henry VIII (Letters, October 31). Mr Granchi’s letter makes no mention of imperial papal power and excess that sparked reformation across Europe, nor does he remember the English Protestants martyred in the reign of Mary.
