Chinese web filter will target politics

A filtering software the Chinese government has ordered computer vendors to pre-install on all PCs sold in the country from next month includes political censorship functions, a group of independent Chinese software experts have found.

The revelations, the result of in-depth testing and technical analysis of Green Dam/Youth Escort, confirm fears that the software, presented by the Chinese government as an attempt to protect children from pornography, is also a censorship tool.
